Unit 5: Direct Messaging & Multi-Step Follow-Up
When you notice a serious buying signal (such as someone asking for recommendations), it’s time to move beyond the group comment.
Step 1: Direct Message (DM)
- Reference the group in your DM:
“Hi [Name], I saw your post in [Group Name] about uniforms. Thought I’d reach out directly.” - Keep it polite and short — not a hard pitch.
Step 2: Multi-Channel Follow-Up
If there’s no reply:
- Try again via Facebook Messenger.
- If still no answer, attempt Call / SMS / WhatsApp once or twice the same day.
- If unanswered, wait a day or two, then follow up again.
Do not blast all channels at once — spread out your attempts to look professional, not desperate.
Step 3: Build Trust with Content
During follow-ups, share:
- Product photos (uniforms, caps, or promotional apparel).
- Flyers or catalogs.
- Recent order photos to show real work.
- Feedback or reviews from satisfied clients.
Your goal is to earn trust before asking for a sale.
