Unit 4: LinkedIn Warm-Up
LinkedIn is your most important professional platform. It requires more effort but provides the highest-quality leads.
Step 1: Build a Professional Profile
- Use your real name on your main account.
- Job Title: Commission Sales Associate
- Employment Type: Freelance
- Company: Excel Promo (verify correct logo).
- Location: Houston, Texas, United States → Work Type: Remote.
- Write a professional headline and job description with an AI writer.
Step 2: Engage Like a Real User (14+ Days)
- View 5–10 profiles daily.
- Follow companies and influencers in your target market.
- Like and comment occasionally, no promotional content yet.
- Join groups relevant to your industry (e.g., construction, uniforms, logistics). Do not post sales content at this stage.
Step 3: Gradually Grow Connections
- Days 1–3: Don’t send any connection requests.
- Days 4–7: Send 1–2 requests daily.
- Days 8–14: Send 3–4 requests daily.
- Days 15–21: Send 5–7 requests daily (if system allows).
Start with Chinese manufacturers and salespeople with 500+ connections. They usually accept requests easily, helping you build your first 200–300 connections. Once you have this base, begin targeting your real prospects.
Mistakes to Avoid on LinkedIn
- ❌ Don’t send 20 connection requests in one day.
- ❌ Don’t mass-connect with strangers.
- ❌ Don’t leave your account idle for days and then overload it.
