Unit 4: Getting Recommended (Social Proof First)
Referrals outperform self-pitches on LinkedIn.
Method 1: Ask contacts to vouch for you
If a discussion asks for suppliers, a colleague or client can comment:
“We used [Your Name] for branded workwear—reliable, fast turnaround.”
Method 2: Use your nickname profile
Join the same group with your nickname account (e.g., Adam K.). When someone asks “Who can supply uniforms?”, reply from the nickname profile:
“We’ve had a great experience with [Your Real Name].”
Prospects will click through to your real profile, which should look complete and credible.
Tip: When you later add context from your real profile, keep it helpful and short—never argue or pressure in public threads.
