Unit 3: Gmail Warm-Up
Warming Gmail is the core step, as email is the main channel for outreach. Google’s systems measure sending volume, reply rates, and behavior patterns.
14-Day Gmail Warm-Up Schedule
Days 1–3
- Log in daily.
- Open and read system or welcome emails.
- Send 1 simple email to your alternate Gmail or a trusted friend.
- Reply to 1–2 incoming messages (even short replies like “Thanks”).
Days 4–7
- Increase to 2–3 casual emails per day.
- Use natural topics (YouTube links, questions, friendly updates).
- Make sure to reply to any responses.
Days 8–14
- Add a professional email signature (name + title or business).
- Create folders/labels (e.g., “Personal,” “Work”).
- Send 4–5 non-sales emails daily.
- Keep tone casual, like you’re emailing friends.
Trust Signals for Gmail
Google monitors your activity to decide whether your account is human or spammy. Strengthen your profile by:
- Adding a recovery email and verifying a phone number.
- Staying logged in instead of constantly signing in/out.
- Opening and reading received emails.
- Marking important emails with a star.
Important: Don’t rush. Too much activity too early can make the account suspicious.
What Not to Do
Avoid these mistakes during the warm-up phase:
- ❌ No cold outreach or promotional emails.
- ❌ Don’t CC or BCC multiple people.
- ❌ Don’t attach files or links too early.
- ❌ Don’t copy-paste templates or use automation tools.
Keep every email short, friendly, and natural.
Example Warm-Up Emails
- “Hey, just testing this — can you reply when you get it?”
- “Here’s a video I liked, thought you’d enjoy it.”
- “Checking in, hope all is good.”
These light interactions mimic normal human communication.
Google Browsing Habits
While warming up Gmail, also:
- Watch YouTube daily.
- Search random topics in Google.
- Use Maps to look up local shops or directions.
- Browse in Chrome while signed in.
These extra touches make your account appear more genuine.
