Unit 2: How to Find the Right LinkedIn Groups
You don’t need “the biggest” groups—you need relevant and active ones. Prioritize quality over size.
How to search
- In LinkedIn search, choose Groups.
- Shortlist groups that:
- Have consistent weekly discussions (activity matters most).
- Match your target industries/job functions (e.g., construction management, operations, facilities, logistics, cleaning).
- Allow business talk/recommendations in their rules.
Signs of a good group
- New posts and comments in the last week.
- Questions seeking vendors, tools, or best practices.
- Moderators who keep spam low and discussions focused.
Examples
- Construction Managers & Contractors (regional or national)
- Logistics & Fleet Operations Network
- Cleaning Services Owners & Operators
- Safety & PPE Buyers / Workwear Discussions
- Local Business Networking – [Your City/Region]
