Unit 2: Google (Search, YouTube, and Maps) Warm-Up
Google doesn’t just monitor Gmail activity — it looks at overall account usage. A natural user does more than send emails; they search, watch videos, and browse.
Google Search
- Use your Gmail account to sign in on Chrome.
- Search for everyday topics like “local weather,” “movie showtimes,” or “how to cook pasta.”
- Browse through multiple pages, not just the first result.
- Click links, scroll, and spend at least 5–10 minutes daily searching.
This activity signals to Google that the account belongs to a genuine person.
YouTube
- Log in to YouTube using the new Gmail.
- Watch videos all the way through, not just a few seconds.
- Subscribe to 2–3 channels that match your interests.
- Like or comment occasionally (keep it simple: “Nice video” or “Thanks for sharing”).
Consistent YouTube activity helps make your Gmail account look authentic.
Google Maps
- Open Google Maps while logged in.
- Search for nearby businesses like restaurants, gyms, or hotels.
- Check reviews, look at directions, and “star” a few places.
- Spend a few minutes exploring daily.

Tip: Rotate between Google Search, YouTube, and Maps daily for 2–3 weeks. This steady activity builds trust.
