Unit 4: Structure of a Cold Call
Keep your call under 2 minutes unless the prospect engages longer. Use this 4-step structure:
- Greeting & Introduction
“Hi, this is [Your Name] calling from Excel Promo here in Houston. Am I speaking with the owner or manager?” - Reason for Call (Hook)
“I came across [Business Name] in [City], and I wanted to reach out because we specialize in branded uniforms for local businesses.” - Value Proposition
“Our uniforms help teams look professional and improve brand image. Many companies in [Industry/City] use them for staff identity and customer trust.” - Call to Action (CTA)
“Would you like me to prepare a free mockup with your logo and send it by email?”
👉 If yes → Confirm email and thank them.
👉 If no → Thank politely and mark as Not Interested.
